Catholic principles are about forgiveness (whether they actually do it or not) and getting more catholics in the 'fold'.

I'm not defending all the silly things the church says and does but preaching a bit of peace, albeit mixed with a recruiting message, is better than just hating.

I agree with you both. That's the problem with religions, they all think they are it when none of them are anything. The pope doesn't and won't have a wife or kids, if he did he wouldn't be praying for those evil bastards.
