Bullshit, would be yet another slap on the wrist in the Canadian Justice system.

If both the defence and crown psychiatrists say he needs to be in a nut house, then he needs to be in a nut house. It's not easy to get a NCR plea, and can sometimes be worse. There is no guarantee he ever gets out of there.

The psychiatric workers applaud having their careers made a little more secure and recession-proof. Why not declare every criminal as insane just to be certain?

While I agree with Tricks that if he needs to be in 'a nut house' then put him there, and he is right, sometimes a psychiatric facility for the criminally insane is more difficult to get out than a penetentury, and rightfully so.

Something still erks me about this, the statement "because he was suffering a major mental illness at the time " really doesn't sit right with me. What he can turn the major mental illness on and off? or have they made him all better in the short time it has been since the murder?

Just not sitting right with me :?

Are Chinese psychotics worse than white psychotics?

What the heck is the point bringing race into it?

It only matters if you're a bigot. Psychosis is Psychosis. Racism is just stupid.
