Mexico's rampant drug violence has put the issue of safety front and center for would-be vacationers, and put the country's publicity-sensitive tourism promoters on the defensive.

    The US State Department issued a warning for Cancun as of yesterday on the list of potential problems for travelers and that is why I am heading to PV...Puerto Vallarta, Manzanilla and Yelapa is way nicer than Cancun anyway.
