Not from me. The Dems knew from the beginning that this had no hope of passing so all of it was nothing but exploitative political grandstanding.

legislation the Senate will debate next month won't include the provision that gun-control advocates pressed for after an assault-type weapon was used in the Newtown school shootings in December.
When did a pistol become an assault weapon? Almost all don't even have bayonet lugs, or the ability to fire rifle grenades!

The second would just be on prohibiting the high-capacity magazine clips.

It's like reporters never learn, no matter how many times people point out the incorrect technical terms they just keep using them.

Next up will be to see if Obama tries to do the same thing via an Executive Order. That'll be fun. And by 'fun' I mean not fun.

Congress today opened an inquiry into why the Department of Homeland Security is purchasing a 20-year supply of ammunition.

Congressman Leonard Lance (R-NJ) has come out and demanded that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano explain why the Department of Homeland Security has been engaging in huge amounts of purchases of ammunition over the past year. Rep. Lance has called on Congress to get involved in ascertaining DHS stockpiling of ammunition which is enough to wage a 20 year plus war, which has most certainly caused a shortage in the public market.

Unfortunately, the government's not smart enough to stock up on ammunition when prices are low.

Williamette Valley in Oregon, if it survives the carnage, is wonderful pinot noir country. And of course, Washington and Oregon will be annexed into Cascadia though the population will likely be a form of Yankee Roma. Maybe we'll ship 'em south to California. Except for the women......I believe we might keep the women.
