Meskie, a calico angora cat, has been honoured by a global pet food company for waking up its owner so she could escape from a fire last summer.

    If she didn't wake up the cat would have just ate her. And by the looks of the picture it could have lived for months off of her. 8O

    The one I just got is massive and looks like it may have ate a cat lady at some point. :D

    My wife has volunteered to take in a rescued "pregnant" cat for the local humane society so somewhere along the way, this place will be crawling with kittens, for a time. We're on a waiting list. My kids have never experienced kittens before and it should be a treat for them. The Lab will need some lesson, tho. She's smart and gentle and I'm not terribly worried.
